- Apple could launch a new case to replace abandoned furnishings
- The new case would be made from textured fabric
- It will come in several colors and could work with a “strap strap”
When Apple launched the iPhone 15 series, he also revealed a new case nicknamed Finet Woven which said it was better for the environment than leather alternatives. However, this case has proven to be a disaster, with a flood of complaints on its appearance and a lack of sustainability. However, this apparently did not trigger Apple by finding a replacement, with a new leak apparently revealing the protection case that the company could launch alongside the iPhone 17 later this year.
In an article on their website, Leaker Majin Bu published what they claim to be photos of a next successor to Finetoven called Techwoven. This shows the full range of colors in which the case will apparently come, in particular green, orange, black, navy blue and purple. As with Finewoven – which was made from a “Microtwill” fabric – BU says that Tech AV has “remains a fabric cover, but the material has been redesigned for greater durability and more practical daily use”.

BU says that it takes the form of a “slightly textured weaving” and that their photos show a random effect when they are seen closely. Above all, the leak alleys that the surface of the housing “maintains a constant appearance even after weeks of use”. If this is true, it could tackle one of the key criticism of Finewoven, which often seemed to be seemingly deteriorating after a sustained period of use.
The cases will also include metal buttons, cuts for lanyard strips, Magsafe compatibility and an integrated camera control cover, says the post. There will be supposed options for each model in the iPhone 17 range, including the Air iPhone 17.
Fine monitoring
Here are the new technical cases for the iPhone 17.August 20, 2025
This is not the first technical revelation of Majin BU. Barely two days ago, the flight published images of what they claimed to be packaging for the technical affair. Before that, they downloaded an image of a single technological woven case on X, although they noted that it was a clone rather than in fact by Apple, suggesting that the cases of the last article of BU could also be clones.
Interestingly, the packaging recently revealed by Majin Bu contained the sentence “compatible with the cross strap”. Apple does not sell any product under this name, but the manufacturer of iphone Otterbox accessories. With the technological housing, including the lines cutouts, this could indicate that Apple made it compatible with the Otterbox accessory. Alternatively, Apple could plan to sell its own product called Strap Crossbock, perhaps as a safety feature to thwart snatch thieves.
Until now, reactions to rumors of the technological case have been mixed. On Reddit, the first comment on an article linking to the coverage of the Techsing affair was a “which is a non -me succinct me, with many complaints citing the traditionally high prices of Apple for its own brand accessories. Many have also noted the quality of the first Apple leather cases at the time of the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X.
However, the responses of the latest X Post by Majin BU were more positive, so it remains to be seen if Techwoven can succeed where Finewoven failed.
There is no doubt that the fine debacle was a tripper for Apple, and although there are still many people who loved cases, the overwhelming feeling was that of negativity. This means that Apple is under pressure to do better this time. With only a few weeks until the launch date of the iPhone 17, we should soon discover whether these cases of technical techniques can do things correctly.
