- The iPhone 17th would have a dynamic island rather than a notch
- He could also have a new chipset and a new design
- However, many of its other specifications could remain unchanged
The iPhone 17th seems to be a big step forward compared to the iPhone 16th, the new key addition is perhaps the dynamic island.
This is according to the renowned Leaker digital cat station (via GSMARENA), and that would no longer mean notch, bringing the front design online with the latest iPhones.
The same source also claims that the iPhone 17th will have an A19 chipset, which would probably mean the same chipset as the iPhone 17, but indicates that it will have a 6.1 inch 60hz screen again, a single 48 MP rear camera and a 12MP front camera with Face ID.
This is regrettable, given that many mid -range Android phones – including the key rivals of the iPhone ‘E’ like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Fe and Google Pixel 9a – have several rear cameras and 120Hz screens. So, this could still be a somewhat compromised handset and a difficult sale, even at a price that will probably be a little lower than other iPhone 17 models.
A new intriguing design
Curiously, however, the digital cat station also seems to claim (through a machine translation) that the iPhone 17th will obtain a third upgrade in the form of a new design. It is not clear what they hear by that – the transition to a dynamic island would certainly be a change, but that seems to be a separate point that they make, suggesting other changes.
We expect the rest of the iPhone 17 series to adopt a new pixel -type cameras design, so it is possible that the source is referring, in which case the iPhone 17th could look a lot like the air of the iPhone 17 – which should also have a single rear camera – at the rear.
Alternatively, they could refer to the addition of a camera control button, which is present on the main line of the iPhone 16 but absent from the iPhone 16th, but it’s just speculation.
We may not discover with certainty what features of the iPhone 17th get or do not obtain for a while, with the only release of release date until now pointing to May of next year. But if you don’t really care about having several rear cameras or a high -screen refreshment rate, the iPhone 17th could be worth waiting.
