Washington: The Pentagon said that recent US air strikes have removed the Iran’s nuclear program up to two years.
The strikes, carried out on June 22, targeted three key nuclear sites in Iran.
A spokesperson for the Pentagon told journalists on Wednesday that damage was probably closer to a full period of two years.
Sean Parnell, a spokesperson for the Pentagon, offered the estimate during a briefing to journalists, adding that the official estimate was “probably closer to two years”.
US military bombers carried out strikes against three Iranian nuclear installations on June 22 using more than a dozen bunker bunker bombs of 30,000 pounds (13,600 kg).
The results of the strikes are closely monitored to see how far Iran’s nuclear program were able to retreat after President Donald Trump said he was erased.
During the weekend, the leader of the United Nations Rafael Grossi nuclear dog said that Iran could produce uranium enriched in a few months, which raises the effectiveness of American strikes to destroy the Tehran nuclear program.
