The landslide damages the houses in Murree

Murrier:

Lourdes monsoon rains have triggered a landslide in the lower Masoot region near Murree, causing a large rock crashed in residential houses.

One house was completely destroyed and two others suffered partial damage. Miraculously, no victim has been reported.

The incident occurred late at night in the village of Lohar Masoot Banat, which is part of the Union Daryagali council, where a massive rock rolled on a hill and hit three houses. The house of Parvez Abbasi was completely demolished, while the properties belonging to Kashif and Chan Zeb Abbasi have undergone damage to the walls and windows. Residents fear that new falls of rock can occur, constituting a serious threat to the community.

Due to the alleged negligence of the road service, blocked drains and the water canals have transformed the streets into streams, causing drawbacks to residents and tourists.
