- Rumors’ prices for RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB and 16 GB models have emerged
- The good news is that we should not see an increase in prices with these GPUs
- However, we will not see the PDSF either, because Nvidia apparently plans to stick to the same prices as we see with the RTX 4060 Ti models
It seems that Nvidia will stick to its price cannons with the entrant RTX 5060 Ti and that the two flavors of this graphics card will cost roughly the same as the existing models of RTX 4060 Ti.
Videocardz highlighted an article on the board of the channels of the board of directors (a regular source of supply chain leak in China) which describes the details of the prices, but it is obviously very skeptical here.
The affirmation – and keep in mind the possible translation wrinkles (the original post is in Chinese) – is that the RTX 5060 Ti is “ estimated ” to have a price “ similar ” to RTX 4060 Ti models. Although later in the post, he talks about having the same price for these GPUs – so the overall atmosphere is that the price labels will be identical or very close to the RTX 5060 Ti models.
The vine has long insisted that Nvidia produced the RTX 5060 Ti in two towers, with 8 GB and 16 GB of Video RAM, as are existing RTX 4060 TI tables.
The PDSF or the recommended price for the RTX 4060 TI 8 GB is $ 399 (in the United States) and for the 16 GB version, it’s $ 499, so the guest is here that the RTX 5060 TI will follow.
Or maybe if we are lucky, we could see a tiny decrease, but the flight seems to think that the new Blackwell equivalents of these more affordable GPUs (compared to the rest of the range) will be almost the same. So if there is a difference, it will be a minor.
Analysis: The best plans arranged?
It is worth repeating the advice to rely on skepticism here, because the channels of the board of directors are not always the most reliable source of my experience – but that said, I would not call it reliable either. The somewhat vague language of publication also gives a break to reflect, although it can be wrapped in translation problems to some extent.
Given Nvidia’s philosophy with Blackwell prices so far, I certainly do not expect an increase. Mainly given that the RTX 5070 remained with the same price as the RTX 4070, and indeed the RTX 5080 fell a little compared to its predecessor (and the RTX 5070 Ti has slightly soaked). The RTX 5090 was the aberrant value in the sense that its PDSF was considerably set up – and has been well hiking to that of high levels – but there are reasons that do not apply to other Blackwell GPUs (namely its crossing with the IA graphics cards).
To stick to the same pricing scheme as that of rumors here seems to me very likely, because Nvidia (theoretically) has the identical problem that it is confronted with the generation of Lovelace since the TI XX60 class model with 16 GB of VRAM has more memory than the price of XX70 pricing at higher level of their exterior. This perception of being short-circuited with 12 GB is even more strongly felt in this new generation of Nvidia graphics cards.
In summary, I think it seems a likely price plan, although it may be that – the current plan. In other words, the rumor mill could be correct in its assertion here, and Nvidia can think about this exact price scheme at the moment, but Team Green could still have a last -minute heart change. Hopefully it is for the best, if it happens, and we could simply see a slight price reduction for these more affordable Blackwell GPUs.
Can you say that I am not convinced? Well, as long as we do not see an uprising of prices, that is essential. But given Nvidia’s situation with the goodwill of the players these days – or its lack since the beginning of this year – I really do not see how the company could even consider a hike with its RTX 5060 models. I suppose that Stranger Things has happened, however (“constantly” a GPU comes to mind).
These RTX 5060 Ti graphics cards should arrive soon, in the middle of the month, in fact, on April 16 (with a revelation of rumors for the day before, April 15). There is also no chatter on RTX 5060 prices, which would seem to support the idea that the Vanilla GPU is due later, in mid-May-although it can also be revealed on April 15 (perhaps the price without pricing). Again, throw away generously, but there is no shortage of clues and rumors that these graphics cards are close to the release.
