- Mass production may have started on the Next Galaxy Foldables
- We expect a launch event in July
- The Z Flip 7 could be the only model to obtain a battery boost
We expect the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 to arrive in July, and some new rumors suggest that the launches are on time – but that one of these folds will get a battery upgrade this year.
First of all, the Tipster @pandaflashpro (via Sammobile) indicates that mass production has now started on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7, as planned previously. This corresponds well to a launch date in the coming months.
Second, the technological perspectives (via Samobile again) have discovered certifications for these foldable phones which give their battery sizes: 4,400 mAh for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 (corresponding to the Galaxy Z Fold 6) and 4300 mAh for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 (up to the battery of 4,000 mAh in Flip 6).
The changes in the battery capacity do not always equivalent to changes in the life of the battery, but the indications are that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will last longer between the loads, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will once again offer 10-11 hours of battery life (on the basis of our complete Samsung Galax Z Fold 6 review).
Here is what is coming
We have already heard a lot of rumors around these two flagship foldables, of course. Regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 7, there was a better resistance to dust and a major camera upgrade of 200 MP. Its processor should be the Snapdragon 8 elite, and we have also seen unofficial renderings of the device.
As for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, it seems likely that it will get a large cover screen, like Motorola Razr phones – which would certainly be a welcome improvement. A battery autonomy boost has also been mentioned in previous leaks, with other cans suitable that 4,300 mAh will be the capacity of the 2025 model.
There could also be an interesting turn in terms of software here: the word is that the phones could be delivered with an IU 8 (based on Android 16), even if a user interface 7 (based on Android 15) has just been going to the majority of Galaxy handsets.
If Samsung organizes another launch event unpacked in July, it should be quite a show. In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7, we also expect to see a new device three times, the Galaxy Watch 8 models, and perhaps the Galaxy Ring 2.
