The Icon of the Minnesota twins, Joe Mauer, will be among the athletes on the field of the Championship of the American century near Lake Tahoe next month.
Mauer has finished equally in the 16th rank last year in one of the best finishes he has gathered in recent years. He complimented Edgewood Tahoe Golf Club in an interview with PK Press Club Digital, but admitted that he still needed to work a little on his golf game.

“I am excited for that,” he said about the tournament. “It has been a good time in recent years, and it was fun to get the family out, and it was transformed into a pretty little tradition of going there in summer. It is a beautiful place.
“But when it comes to my golf game, I could use a little more work. I like to go out and compete with the other great athletes and artists,” he continued. “The kind of ensuring that you are on tour for a few days there. It is a great atmosphere, a wonderful part of the country, and I will encourage anyone to go out and see it if they have not done it.”
Mauer is part of a handful of former baseball players who will enter the Tee box to try to keep their ball straight enough for good shots.

The temple of renowned baseball explained that it had taken the sport after having moved to Florida when it was selected in the recovery of the MLB and tried to take a course a week during his career.
“I really appreciate the game now that I am retired,” he said. “I have the opportunity to play a little more. I love the game. Obviously, it’s really difficult, it’s really difficult. But you also know our work line with baseball. You could never improve the game, but you can certainly try.
The festivities of the American championship of the century begin on July 9 and take place until July 13.
The tournament will also collect funds for local and national charities. The event is a stable format of 54 holes in which golfers earn points for each hole depending on the peer score. The golfer who reaches the most points wins.

Former tennis star Mardy Fish won the tournament last year. Stephen Curry was the winner in 2023. The Golden State Warriors star will be back on the field.
