A man was arrested by Lahore police after a video surfaced showing him adopting an inappropriate behavior with women.
The video surveillance images clearly represent the suspect, Allah Rakha, making inappropriate gestures towards a woman before fleeing the premises.
According to information, the suspect was apprehended by Gulberg police late at night after the authorities used video surveillance images to find him.
The arrest took place near Liberty Market, where it was placed in police custody.
The Lahore police confirmed that, under the orders of the Model SP, a case was recorded and rapid measures were taken to apprehend the accused.
The incident occurred two days ago on Ghalib Road, where the suspect harassed a woman when he returned from work overnight.
Video surveillance images have shown that Allah Rakha performing the inappropriate act and immediately fleeing afterwards.
SP Model Town, Ikhlaq Ullah Tarar, said that as part of the “Never Again” policy of the chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, clear instructions were issued.
He pointed out that those who exploit women in any way will not be shown to leniency.
The arrest sends a strong message concerning the commitment of the authorities to ensure the safety of women in the city.
