Rawalpindi:
A 16 -year -old girl was said to have been killed by her father in Rawat after refusing to delete her Tiktok account. The tragic incident, initially reported as suicide by the family, was then exposed as murder during a police investigation.
According to a fir recorded by the chief gendarme Shahbaz Anjum, the accused, Ikhlaq Ahmed, had asked his daughter, Mahak, to delete his Tiktok account. During his refusal, he would have shot him on a rage crisis, citing the incident in “honor”.
After the shooting, Ikhlaq fled the scene. A police team led by Sho Zahid Zahor later apprehended it.

Rawalpindi city police officer (CPO) Khalid Hamdani took note of the incident and ordered a complete investigation to be carried out by SP Saddar Nabeel Khokhar.
Initially, the family tried to hide the murder by saying that it was suicide. However, the post Mortem exam confirmed that Mahak had died of gunshot wounds, which established it as a case of homicide.
Police collected evidence at crime scene and a case was recorded under serious accusations. CPO Hamdani said crimes against women and children are intolerable. If more suspects are found involved, they will also be brought to justice.
