According to a press release from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS attended the retirement ceremony of the General Commander of the US Central Command (Centcom) Michael E Kurilla and the commandment ceremony for Admiral Brad Cooper in Tampa.

While addressing the Pakistanis, the army chief said India sought to project himself as a “Vishwaguru” (world leader) But in reality “there is nothing like this”. He quoted the transnational terrorism of the intelligence agency of India RAW in matters of serious international concern, stressing the murder of a Sikh chief in Canada, the number of Eight Indian Navy officers in Qatar and the arrest of Kulbhushan Jadhav in Pakistan as examples.

“Pakistan has fought a successful diplomatic battle against the discriminatory and hypocritical policies of India,” said Marshal Munnir. “The recent Indian assault, carried out under shameful pretexts, was a serious violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and has led to the martyrdom of innocent civilians.”

He said that the incident brought the region to the “edge of a dangerously degeneration war, where any calculation error could lead to a major conflict”. He expressed Pakistan’s gratitude to the American president Donald Trump for what he described as a “strategic leadership” which helped prevent not only an Indian-Pakistani war, but also “many conflicts in the world”.

The army chief said Pakistan had given a “resolved and robust” response to the provocation of India and had managed to prevent a broader confrontation.

Coas Munnir reiterated that Jammu-et-Cachemire was not “India’s internal material” but an “unfinished international agenda”. Citing the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he declared that cashmere was the “jugular vein” of Pakistan and stressed that the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council on the territory remain valid.

On regional security, the chief of the army warned that several terrorist groups, including Fitna-Al-Khawarij, operated in Afghanistan against Pakistan. “Pakistan is the last bastion of the fight against terrorism,” he said. “There will be no sympathy for terrorists, and they will face justice fully in force.”

Pakistanis abroad do not go brain but the brain

Coas Munir congratulated the Pakistani abroad as “a source of dignity and honor” during an address to the Pakistani community in the United States, describing them as a “brain gain” rather than a “brain flight”.

“It is an honor for me to attack the Pakistanis living in the United States. The Pakistani abroad are a source of dignity and honor, and they are as passionate as those who live in the fatherland, “said. “Pakistanis abroad are not a brain flight but a brain gain.”

The army chief said that his second visit to the United States in the six weeks was “a sign of a new dimension” in American Pakistani relations. “These visits aim to put relationships on a constructive, sustainable and positive path,” he noted, adding that the effusion of current blood in Gaza was “a serious humanitarian tragedy” with serious implications at regional and global levels.

He stressed that Pakistan’s development and prosperity were linked to his diaspora. “The devotion and attachment of Pakistani abroad to the fatherland are an undeniable reality. During disaster, they are the first to respond to calls for aid,” he said.

Anti-state elements using social media for chaos

Addressing the role of digital platforms, the Marshal in the Munnir said: “Social media has become a powerful medium, but the anti-state elements also use it to create a manufactured chaos.” Citing the Holy Quran, he added: “O you who believe, if a nasty person comes to you with news, check the truth, for fear that you do not harm people without knowing it and that you are then full of regrets for what you have done.”

He stressed the importance of understanding the young generation. “The thoughts, relationships and priorities of the new generation are different, and understanding them is the need for the time,” he said, noting that a potential trade agreement with the United States could provide a “substantial investment”.

On the diplomatic level, Pakistan has obtained “notable success”

On the diplomatic level, Coas Munir said that Pakistan had obtained “notable success”, with memorandums of understanding in terms of implementation with the United States, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and China to improve economic cooperation and investment.

He said that young people in Pakistan – 64% of its population – overflowed with potential. He also welcomed the recent diplomatic and security gains against India as “the result of the blessing of Allah Almighty, the collective effort of the nation, the provident and the determination of political leaders and the professional competence of our courageous armed forces”.

“The question that is seized is no longer if we will raise ourselves,” he said. “The question is how long and with the strength we are going to get up. Leave us, with a new spirit and a new lens, advancing while preserving the inheritance of our ancestors. ”
