- A series of distribution rumors concerning the restart of the film X-Men of Marvel appeared online
- Various leaks say that four big names have been used to play an emblematic trio of mutants

The restart of Marvel’s film X-Men is still in a few years. But, after many rumors appeared online last week (from May 16 to 21) connecting various actors of the big name with roles in said film, the last idiot season casting is absolutely on our doors.
The emblematic mutants of the comic strip giant should play a role in the next two Avengers films of the multiverse saga. Indeed, with inherited characters such as Professor X of Patrick Stewart X and the magneto of Ian McKellen among Avengers: DoomsdayThe initial cast of 27 people, the actors who appeared in the X-Men franchise now disappeared from 20th Century Fox will return for a last Hourra before passing the torch to the next generation.
Although Avengers: Doomsday and his suite Avengers: secret wars Will not end in theaters in May 2026 and May 2027, Marvel already travels the globe (according to the initiates of the industry, anyway) so that A-Lisers represents the X-Men in the Marvel cinematographic universe (MCU).
The first – and certainly the highest – from the gossip which appeared online come from the prominent leak Mytimetoshinehello (MTTSH). According to the initiate of the industry, whose recent history can be described as “mixed” at best, none other than Daniel Day-Lewis was watched to succeed McKellen and his colleague Magneto Michael Fassbender as a mutant manipulating metal.
As big as it would be for Marvel to persuade Day-Lewis to join the MCU, this particular piece of speculation seems to be unlikely.
The award -winning actor announced his retirement to act over seven years ago and, apart from appearing in AnemoneA next drama directed by his son Ronan, Day-Lewis has not played in another big or small screen project since 2017 Ghost. It therefore seems unlikely that he would be won from his retirement in what would probably be a MCU agreement with several images.
Day-Lewis is not the only favorite actor of fans to have been linked to an important role as part of the new X-Men range of MCU.
Bryan Cranston – Yes, he Break the bad And Malcolm in the middle Fame, to name only two of his most notable roles – would be in the running to potentially play in front of Day -Lewis as Charles Xavier du McU.
Again, this seems to be an unusual adjustment for an actor whose best roles have seen him embodying morally complex characters. In this sense, playing an Adjacent X -Men individual / antagonist, like Mister Sinister – a role that Cranston has already talked about wanting to approach (by digital spy) a decade – would be better.
Then there are speculations on which will play Ororo Munroe, otherwise known as the mutant of emblematic meteorological manipulation called Storm. According to Mainmiddleman, Marvel approached Kirby Howell-Baptiste (The Sandman) and Jodie Turner-Smith (Star Wars: acolyte) to play it.
Now it would be negligent of me not to say that everything above should be taken with a massive pinch of salt. On the one hand, another leak from the industry – the apocalyptic rider – said they had not even heard that a limited list of the actors had been written by Marvel.
Whatever the precision of the sources of apocalyptic rider, remember the relentless rumor mill on which would play the fantastic oven, alias the first family of Marvel, in The Fantastic Four: First steps And beyond in the MCU? Everyone from Adam Driver and Penn Badgley with linked to Reed Richards, while people like Margot Robbie and Jodie Comer were supposed to be exploited to represent Sue Storm.
In the end, such hearing turned out to be nothing more than inactive gossip. So, just because Day-Lewis and Company have been temporarily linked to roles in the MCU, that does not mean that they will really connect to appear in films once the multi-time saga will end at some point during or after Marvel Phase 6.
If Marvel aims at common ground between the states of attraction of the elder who appeared in the first X-Men trilogy and their younger counterparts who played in the cleaning of Fox, Howell-Baptiste or Turner-Smith would be good adjustments for a Munroe in the mid-1930s. Regarding Cranston and Day-Lewis, however, Input the offers to play Professor X and Magneto.
We will have to wait and see if one of these rumors has a substance to them. The only thing that is absolutely certain, however, is that it will not be the last rumors of X-Men casting that we have read.
