With a basketball in hand, the mayor of Seattle, Bruce Harrell, gave a diabolical blow to NBA fans Still in shock from the loss of their old franchise.
Tuesday, Harrell interrupted his speech on the city state at Benaroya Hall to tease the return of the Supersonics of Seattle, which the city’s basketball fans wanted since the team moved to Oklahoma City in 2008.

“Right now, at the moment, I have an announcement to make,” said Harrell, reaching his podium to release a basketball.
The gesture aroused noisy cheers of those who are present, but joy in the room quickly turned into frustration after Harrell revealed that he “joked”.
“It’s a long speech. I had to break it a little here,” said Harrell through the reactions of the crowd.

Silver said in June that these two destinations had already been launched.
“There were discussions on the return to Seattle, potentially,” said Silver at the time, via NBC Sports. “Las Vegas, without a doubt, is very interested in a team. Mexico once.”
For the moment, fans of sonics will simply have to remain optimistic.
