The Minister of Sindh of Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah announced Thursday that his department would organize the burial of the deceased actress Humaira Asghar Ali.
This decision comes after discussions with the additional IG Karachi on the question of the actress’s burial, reported Express the news.
Shah ordered the Director General of Culture to act as a focal point for this case.
The Minister said that if the Humaira family refuses to claim their body or organize the funeral, the Sindh Culture Department will assume its responsibility as a legal harbor.
In an official letter sent to Dig East, the Minister stressed that humans were not without heirs and that the Department of Provincial Culture would supervise the funeral process, including burial in a cemetery.

The letter indicated that the incident surrounding his death was tragic and heartbreaking.
Shah assured that the priority of the ministry is to ensure that the family of the deceased accepts to receive their body.
He also promised that the Culture Department, with the cooperation of the police, takes all the measures necessary to facilitate burial.

The actor and model Humaira Asghar Ali, 35, was found dead in his Karachi apartment, apparently after months without public appearance. His body was discovered when its owner and police arrived to expel him for non-payment of rent.
The deceased was found in an advanced state of decomposition after the authorities broke into his apartment to find the locked door from the inside.

The police contacted his distant family using the contact details obtained from its owner.
The father and brother of Humaira were contacted by the police, but his father refused to go to Karachi, citing the distance from her two years ago.
Investigators recovered two mobile phones on the scene, who were sent for the forensic analysis.
They also explore the possibility of a third phone, because no communication has been traced beyond October 2024.
No suspect video surveillance sequence was found in the building. The investigation is underway.
