The Minister of Finance goes to London to meet British officials and investors

The Federal Minister of Finance and Income, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, left for an official three -day visit to London aimed at deepening economic ties, attracting foreign investments and engaging with officials of the British government, global financial institutions and business leaders.

During his stay, the Minister of Finance should tackle several investment forums and seminars, where he will present a clear image and updated the economic prospects of Pakistan, reported Express News.

The visit is one of the wider efforts of the government to promote the confidence of investors and highlight the friendly policies of Pakistan.

One of the main commitments includes participation in a round investment table entitled “Pakistan Access Day”, organized by Jefferies, an investment bank company.

Aurangzeb will also attend a round table with technological investors based in the United Kingdom, focusing on the opportunities of artificial intelligence, mining and health care. Muhammad Ali, advisor to the Prime Minister on investment, will accompany him during the two events.

Aurangzeb’s visit includes high -level government meetings. He is about to visit the Treasury department of His Majesty, where he will meet Lord Livermore, the financial secretary of the Treasury, as well as other senior officials.

The Minister of Finance will also visit Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) for meetings with Leo Docher, the state -less state parliamentarian for the Middle East, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and other British senior officials.

In addition, the Minister will engage with office officials for budgetary responsibility (OBR) and will meet its president, Richard Hughes, as well as his senior team.

Aurangzeb should also visit the headquarters of the Bank of England, where he will hold discussions with Governor Andrew Bailey and his team.

His visit includes meetings with senior executives from large financial institutions such as Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered Bank. He will also meet Simon Baugh, Managing Director of the UK Government Communication Service, and Marcus Hall, director of Cargill Global Trading UK.

Discussions are also planned with American tobacco representatives.

Beyond the official commitments, Aurangzeb and Muhammad Ali will attend a business dinner organized by the Pakistani High Commissioner in London, which will bring together British investors and business leaders.

The Minister of Finance will also participate in interactive sessions with selected members of the International and British press, where he will answer questions about Pakistan economic reforms, budgetary strategy and investment priorities.
