At an emergency press conference held at Lahore Press Club, the Minority Minister of Punjab and Chairman of the Pakistan Committee Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, strongly condemned an alleged Indian drone strike on the sacred site of Nankana Sahib.

Considering as a blatant violation of international law, religious freedom and human rights, Arora demanded immediate international attention to what he described as a provocative act.

The press conference was followed by the president of the Lahore Press Club, Arshad Ansari, and leading Sikhs personalities, notably Sardar Bishan Singh, Satwant Kaur, Sardar Jaskaran Singh and Kalyan Singh Kalyan.

Arora accused India of having deliberately targeted mosques, religious sites and minority communities as part of a wider conspiracy to slander the peaceful image of Pakistan on the world scene.

He rejected Pahalgam’s recent incident as a “manufactured and orchestrated drama” aimed at deceiving the international community by falsely involving Pakistan.

Stressing the long -standing link between Pakistan and the Sikh community, Arora said that Sikhs from around the world who visited Pakistan at the recent Baisakhi festival had praised the country’s hospitality and religious tolerance.

He also declared that India was trying to encourage hatred between Muslim and Sikhs communities and to engage in psychological war against Pakistan.

He categorically rejected the Indian allegations concerning attacks against Amritsar and the Golden Temple, calling them baseless and misleading. “Pakistan is a deep respect for the religious feelings of its Sikhs brothers and would never consider such actions,” said Arora.

The Minister reiterated that religious minorities in Pakistan benefit from total freedom of worship and that the State treats all confessions and communities with equal dignity and respect.

He urged the United Nations and international human rights organizations to take an urgent opinion from the aggression of India and its hate campaign against minorities.

Speaking during the event, the president of the Lahore Press Club, Arshad Ansari, criticized the Indian media for spreading the venom and reaffirmed the support of the Pakistani media in the state and the armed forces. He added that the doors of the Lahore Press Club remain open to all religious minorities, in particular the Sikh community.

The Sikhs leaders present at the conference echoed the concerns of Arora and said that Pakistan is a peaceful nation engaged in the protection of minorities and interconfessional harmony.

They promised total support for the Pakistani armed forces and warned that any act of Indian aggression would have encountered a strong response.
