The Federal Minister of the Interior, Mohin Naqvi, met the American deputy Alexander Green and informed him of the incidents of terrorism and infiltration from Afghanistan. The meeting took place in Houston.
During the meeting, the Minister of the Interior Naqvi and the member of the Green Congress discussed questions of common interest, focusing on promoting relations between Pakistan and the United States.
Naqvi informed the member of the Green congress of terrorism and infiltration incidents from Afghanistan. Naqvi also thanked the Green deputy for his important support for the victims of the recent earthquake and floods in Pakistan.
Mohin Naqvi highly appreciated the position of principle of the American deputy Alexander Green on the Palestinian issue, declaring that the strong voice of Green in favor of Palestine is laudable and has received a great appreciation.
Naqvi has also mentioned that relations between Pakistan and the United States warm up and that in the coming days, relations between Pakistan and the United States will become even stronger.
The member of the Alexander Green congress said that he would soon go to Pakistan, stressing that he had already gone to the country four times to express his solidarity and help people affected by the earthquake and floods.
Pakistan consul general in Houston, Mohammad Aftab Chaudhry, and the eminent Pakistani-American businessman Tahir Javed were also present in Reunion.
Earlier, Mohsin Naqvi said on Sunday that American legislators were encouraged against Pakistan, stressing that his current visit aimed to formulate a common strategy in the fight against terrorism.
Addressing the media on Sunday in Houston, the United States, Naqvi clearly said that he had not attended any anti-Chinese activity during his current visit to the United States. He rejected the impression created by his participation in a youth event as a “poisonous propaganda”.
The minister said he had attended a youth event to which propaganda had given a bad color.
“I did not participate in any anti-china activity,” Naqvi told the media. “Opponents are spreading poisonous propaganda, but this propaganda does not matter,” he added.
