The monthly wages of federal ministers increased to RS519,000

President Asif Ali Zardari has promulgated four new orders, one of which increases the wages of federal ministers and state ministers to correspond to those of the members of the National Assembly (MNA).

The new order modifies the 1975 law of the ministers and the ministers of the State (compensation and privileges), fixing the monthly salary of the federal ministers and ministers to Rs519,000, equal to that of the AMN.

Before the change, federal ministers won 200,000 rupees per month and the state ministers received 180,000 rupees.

According to the ordinance, revised wages will be in force from January 1, 2025.

In addition, President Zardari published an order to establish the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA), aimed at ensuring health and phytosanitary measures for imports and exports.

Another order, the order on tax laws (amendment), 2025, was promulgated to recover the tax amounts under the instance involved in disputes.

The president also approved the order on the capital Development Authority (amendment), 2025, within the framework of a wider set of administrative reforms.
