The Motorcycle License Installation of a Punjab day ends the first year

More than 2.96 million regular licenses were issued to Punjab motorcyclists in one year, a spokesperson for the Punjab traffic police on Saturday.

The spokesman added that, for the first time in the history of the country, such a large installation had been provided to motorcyclists. Of the total, more than 2.945 million men, more than 14,000 women and more than 100 transgender people have obtained motorcycle driving licenses.

DIG Trafic Punjab Muhammad Waqas Nazir said that the installation of acquiring both learning and regular motorcycle licenses on the same day, introduced last year, would continue throughout the province.

“It is encouraging that more than 2.9 million motorcyclists are now driving with licenses,” said Nazir. “License issues will lead to a significant reduction in accidents and also creates job opportunities.”

He urged motorcyclists to obtain licenses and “drive with dignity”.
