A young man who would have been attacked in the Karachi defense area told a court in the city of Metropolis that he did not want to continue the case and had forgiven the accused.

The incident, which drew public attention after images of young people attacked physically have started to circulate widely on social networks, had prompted the authorities to take measures.

The victim, identified as Dhanraj, appeared on Thursday before a judicial magistrate of South Karachi and made a brief statement.

“I did not know that I had been summoned by the court,” Dhanraj told the magistrate. “My lawyer informed me today, so I came.”

The magistrate asked if Dhanraj was under pressure or coercion concerning the case.

“No, I’m not under pressure,” he replied. “I do not want to file any case. I forgiven the accused. “

Dhanraj also declared that he had no objection to any decision that the court could make in the matter.

The main accused Salman Farooqi, CEO of a local prodction house, was taken in camera by slapping and managing the biker after a minor collision on May 31.

Farooqi’s custody and armed driver would have held the victim under the threat of a weapon, forcing him in a vehicle where he was beaten.

The motorcyclist had picked up his sister, Kalpana, who would have worked in a nearby beauty salon. The assault occurred while they were preparing to leave together.

The video of the assault, which also showed that the victim’s sister was postponed when she had pleaded for excuses, triggered indignation on social networks.

Farooqi, the suspect in disgrace on Monday, was apprehended as a result of the raids at his residence and his office. The guard and the driver were also placed in police custody and the police seized the vehicle involved in the assault.

A FIR was recorded at the Gizri police station, although the victim did not file an official complaint. The report was filed on the basis of the testimony of the Eyewitness Muhammad Saleem.

The case, recorded under the FIR n ° 25/278, included accusations of criminal intimidation, aggression, illegal containment and use of obscene language under articles 506b, 354, 342 and 504/34 of Pakistan Pinal Code.
