Pakistan highway police registered the very first speed for speeding and arrested the driver after detecting a vehicle traveling 173 kilometers per hour, officials announced on Thursday.
The incident occurred near Multan on the M-4 motorway, where the vehicle was captured by exceeding the legal speed limit, according to the motorway police spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed.
The driver, identified as Rahim Khan, was reserved under negligence and accelerating accusations at the Budhla Sant police station in Multan.
He was then given to the local police.
The highway police have promised to continue strict measures against traffic offenses, urging drivers to comply with speed limits.
Previously, the police spokesman for the motorway police said that vehicles exceeding 150 km / h on the highway will be stopped immediately, with fines imposed and first against offenders.
The speed limit on three -lane highways is 120 km / h for cars, while public service vehicles are limited to 110 km / h.
The authorities also highlighted the need for more effective speed monitoring on national motorways to prevent accidents, emphasizing the safety barriers to improve road safety.
In addition, the High Court of Lahore (LHC) ordered the authorities to impose a fine of 10,000 rupees on offenders on the one -way traffic rule on service roads during schools.
The decision, made by judge Shahid Karim, aims to reduce the congestion of traffic and improve the discipline of roads near educational establishments. During the hearing on several petitions linked to the control of SMOG, the reduction of pollution and the conservation of groundwater, judge Karim stressed that the stricter application and the heavier fines would naturally lead to better compliance with the laws of traffic.
A member of the Judicial Water and Environment Commission informed the Court that despite the previous directives, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) had not made opinions to schools concerning the management of the deposit line without taking concrete measures.
