The nation marks Pakistan day with patriotic zeal

The nation celebrates Pakistan Day on Sunday with a renewed commitment to transform the country into an Islamic Providence State, as envisaged by Quaid-Ezam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

The day marks the anniversary of the resolution of Lahore, adopted on March 23, 1940, which laid the foundations of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.

The celebrations began with a salvation of 31 weapons in Islamabad and greetings of 21 cannons in provincial capitals. Special prayers were offered after the FAJR for the country’s progress and prosperity.

This year, the Pakistan Day parade took place in Aiwan-E-Sadr instead of its traditional place in Shakarparian Parade Ground.

President Asif Ali Zardari is the chief guest, alongside Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, department heads and other dignitaries.

The president of the committee of chief staff and the heads of the services made sincere congratulations to the Nation the day of Pakistan.

According to the ISPR, the military management said that this opportunity embodies the unshakable determination of the Pakistani people.

They said with constant determination and divine direction; Pakistan remains resolved in the fortification of its democratic institutions and the safeguarding of the well-being of its citizens.

Military brass has reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to protect the sacred borders of the fatherland and maintain sovereignty.
