The National Assembly of Pakistan invites the requests of its six -week parliamentary internship program from June 2025, offering young graduates a chance to gain practical experience in parliamentary operations.

The internship is part of the assembly awareness efforts within the framework of its strategic plan, aimed at increasing the participation of young people and civic engagement thanks to academic collaboration.

Applicants must have completed at least 14 years of education from an establishment recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). People enrolled in four -year -olds are eligible after finishing two years (or four semesters). Master students can also apply.

Eligible academic history include law, economics, business administration, public administration, finance, trade, HR, IT, agriculture, media studies and social sciences, among others.

Applicants must have obtained at least 60% of grades or a CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.0. The maximum age limit is 30 years. Students and graduates of distant or under-represented areas, including Balutchistan, southern Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Jammu-Jammu-et-Cachemire, are particularly encouraged.

What to expect

The selected trainees will work full time for six weeks, five days a week, for at least eight hours a day. They will undergo an orientation of 3 to 5 days at the Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIP) in Islamabad, then will be assigned to various departments of the National Assembly.

Participants will have an overview of legislative research, public policies and parliamentary procedures. Trainees should maintain at least 85% attendance, observe a formal dress code and remain non -partisan during the program. A completion certificate will be allocated after a successful participation.
