The delegation of NDMA Pakistan participated Thursday in the 18th meeting of the Regional Advisory Committee (RCC) in Bangkok, Thailand.
The regional advisory committee is a regional forum to promote consultation and cooperation in disaster and climate change risks in the Asia-Pacific region.

In his opening speech, Lieutenant-General Inam Haider Malik, President of the NDMA, underlined the impacts of climate change in the Asia-Pacific region and in Pakistan, in particular the rise in temperatures, extreme weather conditions and crises linked to water that threaten the progress of socio-economic development in the region. .
He underlined the need to develop appropriate financial mechanisms providing the necessary financial resources to the most affected countries to deal with the impacts of climate change through RRC and ACC.
