- Breville Oracle Dual Boiler Brews Coffee and Steams Milk simultaneously
- It was launched first in Australia for $ 4,499 in (around $ 3,000 / £ 2,200)
- Global release dates and prices should soon follow
Breville (known as Sage in the United Kingdom) has launched a new espresso machine with a double boiler so that she can prepare coffee and steam milk at the same time – and he has one of the highest prices I saw for a home coffee maker.
As the devices retailer reports, the Breville Oracle Dual Boiler first launches in Australia before a larger world version. It is not yet available for purchase, but will cost $ 4,499 to (around $ 3,000 / £ 2,200) when it is sold at Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi and the good.
The Oracle Dual boiler is a new big brother for the Breville Oracle Touch, which has long stood in our overview of the best coffee makers that you can buy for your kitchen.
The new machine has a complete color touch screen and offers two different interfaces: an option focused on the menu for fast beers with automation at each step and a manual mode (complete with pressure dials) if you want to take control yourself.
Two boilers, four hearts
As the name of the machine indicates, its greatest sale argument is its double boiler, which means that you can prepare coffee and texture the milk simultaneously, and that you do not need to wait until the boiler returns to the pressure before starting to use the steam wand.
You can steam milk manually or use the Breville Automilq system. This is the same technology used in the Barista Touch impressing by the extraction of the cold, which I examined a few weeks ago, and works particularly well with plants based on plants such as soy and oats.
This is not the first Breville machine with two boilers (the Breville original oracle also had a double heating system), but it is the first to also offer automation and complete tactile controls that allow beginners to use it easily – all fed by a quadricœur processor.
I hope to test the Oracle Dual boiler when she arrives here in the United Kingdom to see how she compared to her rivals (including superior and mid-range coffee makers), and if it deserves a place in the PK Press Club gathering of the best espresso machines.
