- CD Cyberpunk 2077 of CD Projekt Red was presented on the Nintendo Switch 2
- Comparisons between her and other consoles as the steam bridge and the PS5 were made
- DLSS seems to be at the forefront of computer performance and visual capacities
The launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 is almost there, and it will come with a handful of ready -made titles for the players to dive from the first day. Fortunately, we now have an early overview of that in particular, the CD Projekt Red game developer.
In a YouTube video from Nintendo Life, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 is revealed during execution on the Nintendo Switch 2, with a visual quality which competes with the other PC pocket computers such as the steam bridge. This is thanks to the personalized T239 chip from NVIDIA, which allows the new pocket hand to take advantage of the DLSS scaling, for better than native performance while increasing a lower internal resolution.
Given the previous expectations which were based on material rumors (which turned out to be legitimate), Cyberpunk 2077 impressed many players with its lighting and environment details. However, it should be noted that Nvidia’s DLSS scaling should be used in a fairly aggressive way, which is clear to see in some of the blurred sequences of the gameplay window.
This is to be expected because the Switch 2 already grows above its weight by performing a game like Cyberpunk 2077. But there are still very obvious reduction in performance, especially during the crossing of vehicles, which highlights the potential problem – if DLSS is actually used in an aggressive manner and that the performance is not up to par, seeing images in what looks like the upper end of 20 IPS, so is it really impressive after all?
It should be noted that it is not exactly clear which segments of the gameplay below are anchored or portable (it is probably the first given the video quality 4K), and there will be a choice between the quality and performance modes.
This is also always a work in progress and will probably be radically different from the launch version, but it will be interesting to see how it is achieved against the Claw 8 MSI 8 – which offers large visuals and performances Cyberpunk 2077 – as well as other pocket computers to come like the recently announced MSI CLAW A8 using Ryzen Z2 Extreme of AMD.
Analysis: It’s better than what I expected, but does not justify the cost of switch 2
Now before I say that I have a Nintendo Switch 2 program, I think games like Cyberpunk 2077 have the potential to further exceed their performance and their visual expectations on the device. Despite this, the $ 449.99 of the pocket computer / £ 395.99 / $ 699.95 The price makes me ask a basic question – would it not be better to buy a PS5, Xbox Series X at about the same price, for a better experience?
I could get into portable PC comparisons and the treatment power of the CLAW 8 AI +, but I would hate to look like a broken recording. Spoiler alert; He is claimed to be the better and more powerful device.
However, the simple fact here is that switches 2 Cyberpunk 2077 It is not in the same stage visually and in terms of performance as the consoles of Sony or Microsoft. In this sense, the value of Switch 2 as a rival of the game console is lost if it costs almost the same thing and nevertheless offers a worst experience.
Before emphasizing that the MSI CLAW 8 AI + costs more than the PS5 and the XX X series, it is not in the category of the game console (it does not come with a quay for additional performance), and its price compared to the Switch 2 is always justified by considering the packaged power in such a compact device. If the price of switch 2 was much lower, I would be much more impressed by Cyberpunk 2077Performance, but prices or not, is not the case.
DLSS seems to be the only factor that will do the bulk of work with the Switch 2, and I would say that this is the only reason why its version of Cyberpunk 2077 Can be compared to other sleeves using Xess or FSR (which are not at the NVIDIA DLS). Even then, without tools like the generation of frame, it still does not leave me impressed by the Switch 2, but I will gladly eat my words if I am wrong with its capacities.
