- Lavazza Assoluta is a new bean espresso machine
- It is optimized to work with Lavazza coffee, selected using the mobile application
- It is available to buy directly from Lavazza and is half price with a subscription
The Italian coffee specialist Lavazza has launched a new automatic espresso machine that not only looks great, but promises to help take the best flavor of your coffee by automatically configuring its own settings according to the grains of your choice.
Lavazza Assoluta is not the only machine to adapt brewing parameters according to different beans (the adaptation technology of the DE’LONGHI beans works in a similar way), but the Assoluta is designed to function specifically with the own mixtures of Lavazza, which you can select by the Piale Lavazza mobile application (available for iOS and Android).
Most coffee machines applications only offer maintenance advice (such as alert when it is time to run a shift program or modify the water filter), but the Lavazza application allows you to scan the barcode on a grain bag, then use this information to adapt the infusion settings.
The Daily Grind
Like the DE’LONGHI machines, ASSOLITA forces you to adjust the size of the grind by hand, but unusually for a cup bean machine, it offers only two parameters: coarse and fine (most espresso machines offer between 12 and 20 parameters), ASSOLITA is easier to work, but I am interested in seeing how it works. (You can use other types of coffee, but Lavazza recommends held the best results).
Assoluta certainly resembles the game, with a compact and brown chassis and clean lines that should look at home in modern cuisine.
ASSOLUTA costs £ 699 (around $ 950 / $ 1,400 in) and is available exclusively via the Lavazza website. If you want the fresh coffee beans delivered to your door, you can get 50% reduction on the machine when you subscribe to one of the Lavazza coffee plans.
I will start testing Lavazza assolved next week to see how she compares herself to her competitors, and if he can save a place in my guides for the best coffee makers and the best espresso machines.
