- OWC quay combines two 10gbe ports in a virtual link of 20 Gbit / s via aggregation
- It also offers Thunderbolt 5 ports, 2.5 GBE Ethernet and an 8K display medium
- Works in an aluminum case without fan designed for a silent and cool operation
Another World Computing has published a Thunderbolt 5 reception station which adopts a different approach to high -speed connectivity.
Its LAN DUAL 10GBE ports can be combined in a single virtual link of 20 Gbit / s, offering a flow that no other quay currently provides.
The platform of the OWC Thunderbolt 5 Dual 10GBe network is aimed at professionals who work with heavy or multi-metal environments. It brings together two 10gbe ports, a 2.5 GBE port, three Thunderbolt 5 ports and four USB connections, replacing the need for several adapters.
A more intelligent, faster and cleaner way to connect everything
It also supports the Daisy peripheral chaining, the connection of up to three 8K screens and operates in an aluminum case without fan for silent operation.
“Our goal has always been to remove the friction that slows professionals, or embarrass their work,” said Larry O’Connor, founder and CEO of OWC.
“With the dual 10gbe 10gbe dual network cure, we give creatives, computer teams and powerful users a smarter, faster and clearer way to connect everything they need, without the waste of additional adapters or speed compromises.”
The possibility of linking the two 10GBE ports via the aggregation of links is what highlights this reception station.
When it is connected to storage compatible with network, OWC claims that users can reach transfer speeds of up to 20 Gbit / s, potentially reducing delays in workflows that require access to shared supports or several networks.
Performance allegations come from the company, and we will have to wait for the first opinions to see what the speeds of the real world look like.
“Thunderbolt 5 fully opens new possibilities for creative workflows and production, and the new OWC quay really presents it.
“And for teams working with high performance NAS solutions like OWC jellyfish, it’s a game changer – unlocking the bandwidth and the responsiveness they were waiting for in video and collaborative workflows.”
The platform of the OWC Thunderbolt 5 Dual 10GBe network is available now, for $ 499.
