Makes a VPN subscription for life Really Last forever? Those purchased by VPSSECURE users have certainly not kept their promise.
The new owner of the Virtual Private Network (VPN) supplier has recently decided to cancel all VPN subscriptions for life in progress, causing backlash among existing customers.
VPNSECURE has disabled all life transaction accounts on April 28, 2025. He did, “to continue to offer a secure and high quality experience to all users,” said the supplier in an e-mail shared by an account holder involved on Reddit, who said he received the day when the account stopped working.
VPSSECURE saga
As we can understand of the above-mentioned email and public responses that the supplier shared on Trustpilot, VPNSECURE changed the property in May 2023.
As part of the transaction, the new company has acquired technology, domain name and customer database – “but not responsibilities”, the supplier reiterates almost all communications seen by Techradar.
“Unfortunately, the previous owner has not only revealed thousands of lifelong offers (LTD) had been sold via platforms like stacksocial,” reads the vpsecure email, adding that the team discovered only months after the acquisition.
Interestingly, while a wave of angry customers flooded the supplier’s Trustpilot page with bad criticisms since April 28 (the day VPNSECURE would have ax all LTD), some customers began to deplore that their VPN subscription for life ceased to operate well before.
Techradar could see that the first of these complaints dates back to May 2023, when VPN secure changed ownership. The new owner, however, responded to this and other comments from April 28. See the image below:
Another opaque point in history concerns the current property of VPNSECURE.
Techradar contacted Infinito the LTD, the company listed at the bottom of the VPSSECURE website when writing the editorial’s time. The company, however, replied by saying that it had no affiliation with vpnsecure. He said he filed an official complaint with the VPN supplier, but did not receive a response.
ARS Technica, who reported the news for the first time, also received a similar answer with the company stressing that infiniting LTD (the alleged owner of VPSSENCURE, based in Bahamas) is not the same company as infinitating Capital LTD, based in the British Virgin Islands.
We contacted the VPNSECURE team by e-mail, but we are still waiting for a response at the time of publication.
What we know, however, is that VPNSECURE does not seem to have offered reimbursement so far, but only once exclusive agreements on other VPN plans for affected people.
