- Chatgpt launches a new Pulse functionality which offers personal updates according to your cats
- You can organize what research on pulse by letting him know what is useful
- Provides results as topical visual cards that you can analyze or open quickly for more details
Chatgpt has published a whole new feature called Pulse, which offers updates organized according to your cats, your history and your calendar. Instead of reacting to you, which is the way the Chatppt generally works, Pulse gives you proactively “impulses” according to your recent discussions, comments and connected applications, such as your calendar.
The pulses are delivered as a series of visual cards that you can scan quickly or open for more details, offering you a great way to start your day with a practical set of targeted visual updates.
The functionality is initially deployed for Chatgpt Pro users on mobile, as “Overview version”, but will become more widely available in the near future. OPENAI says that its objective is to make the functionality “available to everyone” possibly.
Personalized impulses
You can organize what Chatgpt is looking for by telling him what is useful and what is not. In the example we have seen, Pulse had examined the user’s calendar, realized that they had an upcoming Heathrow’s plane trip and sent them information to Heathrow airport, without even asking them. Pulse then asked questions of follow -up on the type of trip it was (family vacation, work, etc.), so that he can provide more tailor -made information.
You will receive a pulse once a day, every day. The night of the night will collect data from your chatgpt conversations, history and direct comments and use it to compile your impetus, which it offers in the morning. Pulse uses the Connections functionality in Chatgpt, so that it can connect to your Google Drive, Gmail and Google calendar. This means that it will be able to deliver birthday reminders in a lot of time to buy a gift or card, or send you an example of a meeting agenda for your next meetings.
OPENAI says that all the subjects presented in Pulse will go through various security checks to ensure that it avoids showing your harmful content or everything that violates its policies.
Just press “Curate” and you can ask what you want to see in the future editions of your impulse. So you might ask him for an overview of your week, advice for learning something, or even something specific, like “focus on the NFL Super Bowl tomorrow”.
A simple feedback system for thumbs or thumbs to the thumb means that Pulse can learn more about the type of content you like over time.
A paradigm change in AI
Although Pulse has a modest beginnings, he marks a fundamental change in the functioning of the Chatppt. It transforms Chatgpt from a passive chatbot into a proactive assistant who works in your name, even when you do not interact with that or you do not.
“Pulse can connect with more applications you use, so updates capture a more complete image of your context,” wrote Fiji Simo, CEO of applications in Openai, in a blog on pulse. “We also explore the means for Pulse to provide relevant work at the right times throughout the day, whether it is a quick check before a meeting, a reminder to review a project or a resource that appears just when you need it.”
We will continue to bring you more news on Pulse because it becomes more widely available, so come back regularly for updates.
