- Lenovo Thinksmart One Pro combines PC power, AI and the conference in a surprisingly compact wall unit
- IA supervision and video fencing promise a clearer call, but they are hardly the first in industry
- Eight microphones with the DSP aim to eliminate echo, background noise and confusion
In the era of hybrid work and increasingly distant collaboration, Lenovo has revealed what he claims to be an all-in-one revolutionary meeting solution.
Thinksmart One Pro is a compact device merging calculation, audio and smart video in a single wall bar.
Technically, the Thinksmart One Pro is a full -fledged PC, but Lenovo positions it as a mini PC for the modern conference, because it has a complete HD, a high definition camera with functions powered by AI like dynamic framing, an intelligent zoom and a video fence.
Improved collaboration in AI in compact form
These tools improve visual clarity, but they are not unique. Many of the best webcams on the market already offer a framework and an AI noise filter.
At the heart of Thinksmart One Pro is an Intel Core i5 processor integrated with Intel VPro, running Windows 11 IoTPrise, but its value can reside more in its integration than in the introduction of radically new capacities.
The 10.1-inch touch screen controller, available in two models, provides intuitive access to video calls via main videoconference platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex or Google Meet.
The display supports anti-glagered and anti-smoking features, and with the support for HDMI and POE, it responds to common concerns concerning offset and connectivity.
The main sale argument of the device is its audio capacities, which include eight integrated microphones with 180 degree coverage and advanced DSP functions for echo and cancellation of noise.
He also has stereo speakers capable of producing 15 watts.
This raises the question of whether such an audio table is really necessary for small spaces for which it is planned.
Lenovo has also included the compatibility of your contribution (byod), allowing users to link their laptops and benefit from the antivirus capacities of Thinksmart One Pro.
“Everywhere, knowledge workers appreciate well -equipped spaces allowing the latest features and applications powered by AI to meet and collaborate,” said Marcus Kennedy, director general of Lenovo’s commercial solutions.
Lenovo also includes a deployment support and a premium Thinksmart license for the first year.
The price starts at $ 2,999 for the USB controller pack, going to $ 3,499 for the IP version.
This device is not cheap, and it seems that Lenovo targets organizations which prioritize the tools of transparent collaboration of business quality.
However, at these prices, potential buyers may want to determine whether the grouping of these features in a single unit really adds value compared to the use of high quality separate components already available.
