Netease Games has announced a new costume customization feature for Marvel Rivals This will require the exchange of a new currency, but players will have to spend real money to obtain it.
In a new X / Twitter publication, the developer revealed “ Custom Costume ”, a highly requested feature that falls today (April 17) in a new patch that will allow players to change the color combinations of hero costumes.
The announcement has aroused many fans, with many colored patterns expecting to be linked to each skin they have. However, in a follow -up article, the studio said that the new personalization feature forces players to spend unstable molecules, a new currency which, for the moment, can only be purchased with real money.
“Personalized color costumes will cost 600 unstable molecules for exchange,” says post. “Unstable molecules can be exchanged from a network at a rate 1: 1. You must first obtain the costumes before you can personalize them.”
This means that 600 unstable molecules for a color combo will cost 600 trellis, or about $ 6.

Netease has added that only a few selected costumes will have this functionality when the correction is put online, but it “will develop more over time to other costumes”.
Until now, four combinations of different colors have been confirmed for Magik, Psylocke, Luna Snow and the winter soldier, called Rosy Resilience, Phantom Purple, Plasma Pulse and Winter’s Wrath. When players personalize the costumes, this will also affect the introductory animation of the hero, MVP and emotes.
It was also confirmed that starting with season 3, Marvel Rivals Will get more options to obtain unstable molecules, which suggests that players may not have to spend real network money in exchange for the new currency.
Marvel Rivals Season 2 is officially live and has introduced a multitude of new features, including the new hero Vanguard Emma Frost, a new Krakoa-Set domination card, additional costumes and a new combat pass.
