The NFT OpenSea trading platform launches the improved OS2 platform, says Sea Airdrop to come later

OPENSEA, a trading platform for non-bubble tokens (NFTS), officially introduced its OPENSEA2 (OS2) upgrade to the wider audience after a period in beta version.

The revised product now offers an exchange of tokens on 19 blockchains while it continues to switch from NFTS to the wider cryptography market.

“OS2 is the foundation of the next generation of Opensea,” said Devin Finzer, co-founder and CEO of Opensea, in a press release. “We have rebuilt the platform from zero to become the best destination for everything in chain, from the NFT to the tokens, through the chains and the communities.”

The company also announced a overhaul of its award system which recognizes activity on the channel with so -called XP points. The system, called travel, issues XP to users who complete basic activities such as sharing a gallery, carrying out a chain exchange or the purchase of an NFT.

“Travel is a clear step to a more intentional type of commitment to OpenSea,” said Finzer. “It is a question of encouraging people to explore the whole range of what the platform can do between chains, assets and experiences.”

Users may possibly use XP accumulated to claim the highly anticipated sea tray, which will be the native Opensea token.

Adam Hollander, Opensea Marketing Director, said in a blog post that he “reads comments every day” as regards the moment when the token will be released, but insists that the Opensea Foundation will issue the token in a token generation event (TGE) only once that a series of versions will be deployed.

“As a person who has spent the past four years negotiating in the trenches right next to you, I know what it is to want an $ Airdrop,” said Hollander. “But I also know that it is not only another TGE – it is the TGE. And the property will not only be a W for the Foundation and Opensea but for our entire space.”

The company has not set a date for the moment when the token is published.
