The number of deaths amounts to six in the explosion of the fireworks store

Rescue officials 1122 said that site research operations were still underway. Police completed the area and deployed additional staff. Al-Amna Plaza merchants told Express that it was not yet clear how many people could stay trapped. They said that a man named Ayaz, who was present at the Plaza at the time of the explosion, was missing since, his family desperately looking for him without success.

He said the police appointed the owner of the warehouse, Muhammad Hanif – locally known as Hanif Patakha – and her brother, Muhammad Ayub, in the case. It was not clear if Ayub was present at the warehouse at the time of the explosion.

SSP Ali said that the fireworks warehouse destroyed in the explosion was quite old. Investigations are underway to determine how long they had had a license and how its renewal process was managed.

He mentioned that the warehouse license was not recently issued – it was very old. Since the warehouse existed, this implies that they previously had a license. He added that all the results are emerging during the survey will be examined in depth. He also said that the remaining fireworks of the warehouse are inspected by the Department of Explosives and the Bombs elimination team, and their report will be published soon.

Firefighter chief Humayun Khan said the explosion was so powerful that it had damaged the structural pillars of the building and broke the windows of stores and houses nearby.
