Arshad Nadeem, who marked history by winning the very first individual Olympic gold medal in Pakistan, was appointed in the list of 30 years of Forbes for 2024.
The 28 -year -old javelin star surprised the world at the Paris Olympic Games with a record launch of 92.97 m, a forbes performance called “magnificent spectacle”.
His victory not only broke the Olympic record, but also ended a three -decades medal drought for Pakistan.
The list of Forbes, published last month, highlights the stars of the Montée des Sports and entertainment through the continent. Nadeem’s name on Monday was officially confirmed in the projected group.
His launch of gold has not only won him global recognition – he also received more than 153 million rupees as a price by the governments of Punjab and Sindh, as well as other awards from various public and private organizations.
The government honored Nadeem by appointing a road to Islamabad after it, and Pakistan Post published a special stamp on independence to celebrate its achievements.
Last month, Nadeem again proved his domination by winning gold at the Asian athletic championships with an 86.40 meter throw, just shy from the competition record. It was the first gold in Pakistan at the event in more than 50 years.
His coherent performance throughout the event, crowned by this remarkable throw, assured him first place in the podium.
The best Pakistani javelin launcher also obtained a gold medal in the final of the Asian athletics championships.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated the athlete for the splendid victory as he continues to make the nation proud.
The hometown of Nadeem, Mian Channu, broke out for the celebrations while the news of his victory spreads, bringing tears of joy and cheers of proud supporters.
Nadeem first made the glory with his gold medal at the Commonwealth 2022 games in Birmingham, and he followed with a money at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest.
So far, he has won four gold medals, money and four bronze medals in various events, including the Olympic Games, the World Championships, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, Islamic Solidarity Games, South Asian Games and the Asian U20 championships.
Now, he heads for England to train for the world athletics championships in September, the only major competition where he has not yet struck gold.
