The Algerian boxer Imane Khelif will not compete as planned in a future global boxing of boxing women for finishing a compulsory sexual test, the organization announced on Friday.

The letter also indicated that world boxing had decided to adopt compulsory sexual tests this month.
“These new eligibility rules have been developed in order to protect athletes in combat sports, in particular given the physical risks associated with Olympic style boxing,” said the letter.
