The OnePlus 15 is on the way – the Chinese Android phone maker’s next flagship is expected to launch in its home market soon, with Western and global markets expected to follow in the coming months.
PhoneArena suggests that the OnePlus 15 will launch in China in October 2025, and we’re getting closer to the as-yet-unconfirmed release date. The company shared key display specifications in partnership with sister brand Oppo and display maker BOE.
According to GizmoChina (via GSMArena), OnePlus has shared new official information about the OnePlus 15 display in a direct announcement.
The OnePlus 15 will feature symmetrical 1.15mm bezels around the entire display. For reference, the iPhone 17 Pro Max features ultra-thin bezels measuring 1.36mm.
Additionally, the OnePlus 15 will support a 165Hz refresh rate, much higher than the OnePlus 13 and most of the best Android phones on the market. The standard for a modern flagship phone is 120Hz.
For reference, refresh rate refers to how often a display redraws the image on the screen. A faster refresh rate makes motion smoother and makes it easier to analyze moving details.
OnePlus also said that the screen will see a 13% improvement in high brightness mode, which we assume means an increase in measured brightness, as well as an 11.8% improvement in color accuracy. The display is also TUV-Rheinland certified with a minimum of 1 nit of hardware brightness.
Additionally, the screen will consume 10% less power than the OnePlus 13 screen, with 30% longer total component life. OnePlus is already known for its battery life, so this upgrade could lead to some truly impressive longevity.
The OnePlus 15 will also use Oppo’s P3 chip, a dedicated display controller that enables a pixel row loading time of 1.3 microseconds, which GizmoChina says is twice as fast as the industry average. This allows for better responsiveness and sustained brightness at faster refresh rates.
Finally, images shared by OnePlus seem to confirm that the OnePlus 15 will have a flat screen, rather than the curved screen of previous generations. Current rumors suggest a screen size of 6.78 inches.
