- The OnePlus 15 will have a 7,300 mAh battery inside
- It beats other flagship phones currently on the market
- The phone will launch in China on October 27
The official date for the OnePlus 15’s big reveal has been set for Monday, October 27 (at least for the China launch), and ahead of the event, we’re still getting details on the specs and features that this flagship phone will bring.
OnePlus has now confirmed on Chinese social platform Weibo (via Notebookcheck) that the OnePlus 15 will come with a massive 7,300mAh battery. Charging rates are set at 120W for wired and 50W for wireless, which is also very impressive.
This giant battery capacity has been mentioned in previous leaks, but now we know it’s coming. OnePlus has also officially stated that we will see a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset here and a display with a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz.
In fact, there isn’t much left that isn’t really official. We’re still not sure about the screen size, but rumors are of a 6.78-inch panel. The same batch of leaks also pointed to a 50MP+50MP+50MP triple-lens camera on the back of the phone.

So how does this 7,300mAh battery capacity compare to other flagships at the moment? Very good, actually: the recently launched iPhone 17 Pro Max, for example, has a battery capacity of around 5,088 mAh (Apple never lists specific capacities).
According to Apple, this phone can last 37 hours between charges when playing videos, so the OnePlus 15 could even exceed that. Actual battery life of course depends on various factors, but battery size certainly plays an important role.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra packs a 5,000mAh battery, while the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL has a 5,200mAh battery inside. The OnePlus 15 doesn’t just beat these competing flagships in battery capacity, it beats them by a lot.
We’ve seen phones with battery capacities up to 33,000mAh in the past, so the OnePlus 15 won’t break any records – but these big battery phones are too bulky and impractical for everyday use as a mainstream flagship.
