- There may be several other beta -7 beta before the final version reaches the Samsung Galaxy S24 S24
- This could mean a launch in May
- Google could also announce Android 16 in May, which would instantly make this update
If you buy a phone in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, you don’t just get new hardware, you also get the latest Samsung software in the form of an IU 7, and although certain older phones such as Samsung Galaxy S24 are finally updated, the wait could be long.
According to Leaker Tarun Vats, publishing on X, Samsung plans a huge six beta of a 7 user interface on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series before the final version.
The third beta version is now out and Samsung has already confirmed that it was aimed at deploying the fourth beta next week. But according to the tanks, we will not see the fifth beta in March, nor the sixth beta version in April, which could mean that the finished version will not take place before May.
Of course, we take this with a pinch of salt, but another leak – @universeice – said that this calendar was correct, so there is a good chance that we are really waiting for so long.
A great upgrade that will soon be obsolete
Hopefully this software update is worth waiting. You can expect new AI features (although perhaps not all the features of the AI found on the Samsung Galaxy S25), as well as a redesigned home screen and a new camera interface, it should therefore have a lot to get stuck.
However, not only is it a long wait, but it would mean that UI 7 – which is based on Android 15 – could arrive on the Samsung Galaxy S24 roughly at the same time as Android 16 made its debut. We expect the next Android update launching to Google I / O 2025 on May 20 or at the latest in June.
This large update could immediately feel dated if Android 15 arrives just in time to accommodate Android 16.
