The Pakistani navy has permanently detected and monitored an Indian maritime surveillance plane P-8i when it was approaching the maritime limits of Pakistan overnight between May 4 and 5, official sources confirmed on Tuesday.
The plane was observed throughout its flight trajectory, highlighting the operational vigilance of the navy and technical preparation.
According to managers, rapid detection demonstrates advanced monitoring capacities of the company’s strength and resolution to protect the maritime interests of Pakistan.
“The Pakistani navy remains fully ready to counter any hostile action with full strength and efficiency,” said the source, reiterating 24/7 preparing the navy to defend the borders of the national sea against external threats.
The P-8i Indian aircraft is used for long-range maritime patrol operations and anti-sous-marine. It has already been spotted near sensitive regions of the Oman Sea in the middle of increased regional tensions.
