The Pakistani netball team won the 2025 Asian girls’ netball championship

The Pakistan youth netball team finished an undefeated campaign by mastering the Maldives 60-35 in the final of the Asian Youth 2025 netball championship (CUP Plate) on July 4.

The dominant performance at the Jeonju Hwasan gymnasium saw Pakistan control the match from the opening whistle, sealing its seventh consecutive victory in the tournament and raising the title without a single defeat.

Pakistan opened hard, taking an advance of 17-5 commanding at the end of the first quarter.

Their advantage increased regularly throughout the match, the dashboard in reading from 34-17 to half-time and 45-23 in the third quarter. The Maldives have never been able to fill the gap, Pakistan now composure and pace throughout.

The team starring Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Sumayya Kouser, Haleema, Jasmine Farooq, Sumayya, Alina, Amani, Parisa and Farah Rasheed offered a balanced and disciplined performance, with each player contributing to the team’s success.

The final concluded a week -long competition, held under the Asian Netball Federation, which took place from June 27 to July 4 in Jeonju.

Pakistan’s victory in the plates division adds to the growing reputation of the country in sports for young people in the region.

Managers of the Pakistani netball federation, including President Mudassir Arian, President of Sameen Malik and Secretary General Muhammad Riaz, have congratulated the team, describing the victory for a moment of pride for sport in Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also prolonged his congratulations to the team, calling a “big step” for female sports in Pakistan.

The result scores a culmination point for the Pakistan youth program, in the hope that success will serve as the basis for more in -depth growth of the female netball at home and internationally.
