The Pakistanis impress with 6 medals in the Jiu-Jitsu 2025 Asian championship

Bano Kousar from Pakistan won gold in the ju-jitsu category of 48 female kilograms in the Asian J-Jitsu 2025 championship, held in Amman, in Jordan.

Kousar has triumphed over Richa Sharma of India in a closely disputed final, marking a moment outside competition for Pakistan in the tournament.

Kousar’s victory over day 3 of the competition was a highlight for Pakistani athletes in competition in sports competition around the world.

Pakistan has managed an outing in the championship, guaranteeing a total of six medals in different categories.

The tournament, which included more than 800 athletes from 27 countries, saw Pakistan athletes offering impressive performance, winning a gold, two silver and three bronze medals.

On the last day of the competition, Muhammad Yousuf and Umar Yaseen won silver medals in the U21 Duo and Show Men categories.

The duo narrowly lost against Thailand in the final, after defeating Vietnam in the semi-finals.

This achievement marks an important step for Yousuf and Yaseen, who had previously won gold in the U18 category in the 2024 championship.

Mr. Ali Rashid and Mr. Yousuf Ali also contributed to the count of the medal, winning a bronze in the duo and men category.

Isra Waseem and Kainat Arif completed the transport of the medal for Pakistan, each of the winning bronze medals in the categories of the duo and women.

The president of the Pakistani Federation of Jiu-Jitsu, Khalil Ahmed Khan, expressed his pride in the performance of the team.

“These medals are not only distinctions-they are proof that the Pakistani athletes of the Jiu-Jitsu meet international standards. We are proud of our athletes, coaches and support of the support staff who worked tirelessly to reach this success,” he said.
