The parents of cryptographic fraudster in prison Sam Bankman Fried would have explored how to ensure presidential pardon Donald Trump for their son, according to a Bloomberg report.
Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried, the two teachers of the Stanford Law School and part of the inner circle of FTX, would have engaged with individuals linked to the inner circle of Trump, according to the report.
In recent weeks, SBF’s parents have tried to engage with the Trump administration to discuss the potential leniency of their 32 -year -old son, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison after being found guilty of fraud. Details of the question of whether direct communications with the White House have occurred, according to Bloomberg.
The call for forgiveness is based on Trump’s recent history to use his leniency powers to release largely supported individuals, such as the founder of Silk Road, Ross Ulbricht. Unlike Ulbricht, however, Freed Bankman lacks public support, although he maintains that his sentence is excessively severe, especially since most FTX customers have recovered their financial losses.
Bankman Fried’s FTX, formerly the third greatest crypto exchange in the world, went bankrupt in November 2022 after a Coindesk scoop said that the sister concern of the platform, Alameda Research, was on a financial basis trembling.
It was later noted that Alameda used the stolen door code to attack billions of FTX customer funds – an arrangement led by Bankman Fried and other founding members of Alameda.
The Titan formerly Crypto has since been sentenced to 25 years in prison and has ordered to lose $ 11 billion after being found guilty of seven charges of fraud, conspiracy and money laundering.
