The card was presented in the TOPPS Chrome 2024 update set, and it caused a heavy offer of Pittsburgh Pirates of Skenes.
A pair of premium pirate season tickets for three decades, an opportunity to play a softball match on the field, a meeting with Skenes and signed jerseys was one of the team’s offers.
The girlfriend of Skenes, the gymnast LSU Livvy Dunne, softened the offer by offering anyone who pulled the card by match in her personal suite – an 11 -year -old dream.
However, the boy and the family refused everything, choosing to put him on auction by fanatics.
The signed card includes the first MLB patch that Skenes worn in his very first MLB game on May 11 of last year, when he completed 102 mi / h and withdrew seven in four working sleeves.
