The university football playoffs would have undergone a slight makeover.
The playoffs made a major change of four to 12 teams last season, which brought with it faults.
Last season, the four best -classified conference champions had automatic byes and received the first four heads of the start. This year, the support for the playoffs will be filled with right sowing, with five places still reserved for the conference champions, according to ESPN.

“After having evaluated the first year of the 12 -team playoffs, the CFP management committee estimated that it was in the best interest of the game to make this adjustment,” said CFP executive director Rich Clark in a press release. “This change will continue to allow guaranteed access to the playoffs by rewarding the teams for winning its conference championship, but it will also allow us to build an post-season support which recognizes the best performance on the field throughout the regular season.”
If the new format was installed last year, Oregon, Georgia, Texas and Penn State would all have known weeks. Instead, Texas and Penn State both had to play in the first round and won convincingly. The Longhorns beat the n ° 12 Clemson (15th in the country), 38-24, then beat the state of Arizona No. 4, which had a Bye as the winner of the Big 12 but was classified 11th in the country, in double extension.
