The PM announces an NSC emergency meeting after India suspends the industrial water Treaty

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called an emergency meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) for Thursday morning, following the suspension of India from the Indus Water Treaty and a series of climbing measures targeting Pakistan.

This decision comes in the wake of a deadly attack in the Jammu and the cashmere (iiojk), illegally occupied, who killed 26 tourists and injured 17 others.

The end-of-evening announcement of the NSC meeting was confirmed by the Deputy Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar in a position on X. The NSC, the highest forum of Pakistan for national security and foreign policy, includes the Prime Minister, the main members of the cabinet, the military and the heads of intelligence.

In response, Pakistan’s Foreign Office expressed concern about the loss of lives in Pahalgam attacks and has exercised condolences to the families of the victims. However, the authorities failed to approach the accusations of New Delhi.
