Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Tuesday the creation of the Danish University of applied and emerging sciences in Islamabad using an amount of 190 million pounds Sterling which was transferred from the National Crime Agency (NCA) of the United Kingdom to the Supreme Court of the Pakistan account.
The former Prime Minister imprisoned Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were found guilty of 190 million pounds sterling in January of this year. The court of responsibility pronounced a 14 -year sentence to the founder of the PTI and a sentence of seven years to his wife, while slapping them with heavy fines.
Prime Minister Shehbaz, during the presidency of the meeting of the steering committee for the creation of Danish University, expressed his gratitude to the chief of Pakistan for ensuring the smooth transfer of the 190 million pounds sterling to the account of the federal government.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) of the United Kingdom had returned 190 million pounds to Sterling in Pakistan, which was transferred from the Supreme Court to the Federal Government. According to the vision of PM Shehbaz, this amount will be used to build the ultramodern university.
Chairing the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed that the University would be an institution where deserving and talented students will receive a high -quality research education.
He led the early completion of legal formalities for the acquisition of land in Islamabad for the university.
The Prime Minister also instructed the rapid finalization of the University Charter and other legal issues. In addition, the Prime Minister stressed that the University should be developed as an international technical and applied sciences.
He also ordered that the architecture of the university should reflect simplicity, buildings built using red bricks and avoiding unnecessary expenses to minimize costs.
He also asked to recruit highly qualified teachers and teachers for the university, who would be equipped with advanced technologies and advanced research facilities.
The University’s study program must be prepared in accordance with international standards. He also ordered a committee for the appointment of vice-skin and a committee for the appointment of the board of directors.
During the meeting, a briefing was given on schools of Daanish University and Daanish and it was stressed that the Prime Minister would be the boss of Danish University, which will be registered as article 42, all the necessary formalities that will be completed in a few days.
University lands were selected in sector H-16. Danish University will operate under the Daanish Trust to ensure financial independence and minimum government intervention.
