Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved an important project to provide training programs to provide young people with the skills necessary on the market and industries.
The project will ensure that training is aligned with the needs of local industries and the demand for skilled workforce in the world markets.
The Prime Minister will personally oversee the implementation of the project and also decided to chair the monthly review meetings.
He ordered that continuing communication with local industries and international labor agencies will be maintained to ensure that the training provided meets the needs of the market. In addition, a full database will be created to follow the skills required in the local industries.
The Prime Minister said that the talented young people in Pakistan are the most precious asset in the country, and thanks to vocational training, they will be empowered and will take a job. Efforts are made to offer young Pakistani an international training, aimed at promoting the export of skilled workforce.
Earlier, an examination meeting of the National Youth Employment Plan, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, described the plan to provide training and employment for young people in the next four years.
The meeting revealed that 2.4 to 6 million young people would receive vocational training each year, helping them obtain jobs. The program will focus on the skills required by the market and the international demand for labor.
The Prime Minister has also been informed that the Digital Young Center is at its last stages and will be launched this month.
The Prime Minister praised the efforts of the ministries and the institutions concerned involved in this initiative.
Federal ministers Ahad Khan Cheema, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, President of the Youth Program of Prime Minister Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan, President of the Higher Education Commission, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
