Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the operational performance of Pakistan Air Force, confirming the drop in a sixth Indian plane – a Mirage 2000 – is not grazing, east of Srinagar, on the night of May 6 to 7. According to inter-service public relations (ISPR), the Prime Minister met with front line staff, including pilots, engineers and technicians, expressing a “deep appreciation” for their precision, their professionalism and their commitment to national defense.
“Following an uninsured assault, the armed forces of Pakistan showed exemplary reservoir, strategic foresight and operational precision,” he said in his speech.
“Their rapid and calibrated response not only neutralized the threat, but also gave a decisive blow to hostile military infrastructure – reaffirming an unshakable resolution of Pakistan to safeguard its sovereignty and its territorial integrity,” added the press release.
He also noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz praised the abilities of the army chief, declaring: “The whole nation is very proud of the value and the vigilance of its armed forces.
