Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the efforts of Saudi Arabia for peace in the Middle East as well as his important role in understanding the ceasefire between Pakistan and India.
The Prime Minister said it during a meeting with the Saudi Arabian ambassador to Islamabad Nawaf Bin Saeed Al Malkiy, while reminiscent of his warm and cordial telephone conversation with the Saudi Crown Prince on June 24 to discuss the regional situation.
He transmitted his respectful greetings to the guardian of the two holy mosques the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Saudi crown prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohamed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Prime Minister told the Ambassador that, as Pakistan had assumed the presidency in rotation of the United Nations Security Council for the month of July, it would count on the support of Saudi Arabia to ensure that its mandate took place gently and successfully.
The Saudi ambassador thanked the Prime Minister of the role of Pakistan in peace and stability in the region.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif applauded the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday and the Federal Board of Return (FBR) for having reached a historic increase of 42% of federal tax revenues during the year 2024-25 – The highest increase in the last decade.
The Prime Minister chaired a high -level weekly journal meeting on the FBR digitization and reform agenda, while during the briefing, it has been revealed that the reforms and the application of new tax laws allowed the government to receive 865 billion additional revenue compared to the previous year, an increase of eight times.
