An incident disturbing of violence took place at the passage of the Dharampura Beijing of Lahore on Thursday when masked security agents from a private company fired gunshots on a civilian and attacked it physically so as not to give way to cars

The suspects were responsible for providing security to foreign guests during their visit to the city. The shooting caused panic in the region, with the civilian, identified as Imran, attacked before the gunshots.

According to police sources, two vehicles have been involved. A vehicle transported foreign guests, while the second, containing the private security guards, was responsible for the confrontation.

Foreign guests had previously obtained the permission of the police for the safety of the pastors and had also hired the private guards for the same purpose.

DIG’s operations, Faisal Kamran, quickly took note of the situation and ordered the training of a special team to investigate. Four of the private security agents were arrested and a case was registered on the basis of the complaint of the affected civilian.

Police also confirmed that the guards had abandoned their vehicle and their weapons to a dolphin control point and fled to another vehicle.

Consequently, the foreign guest and his host arrived in a private hotel in Gulberg without security, which raises concerns for their security.

Following the incident, Faire Kamran said that the actions of the suspects had been afraid of the public and stressed that such behavior would not be tolerated.

He confirmed that more arrests were expected and that measures would be taken against the security company that employed the guards.

“The law applies to each in the same way, and whoever takes the law in his hands will be in the event of imprisonment,” said Dig Operations Faisal Kamran.
